This Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has recognized
this project as one of its “SBIR/STTR Innovation Stories”,
a distinction that highlights programs that result in
technologies with “clearly outstanding potential”.
Full details of this recognition can be seen in a
PDF copy of this story (available
here) or by going to SBIR/STTR Electronic Library
at

Composite Bonding
Inspection Techniques - BAQuSTM
Bonding Assurance Quality
System (BAQuSTM) to assure bonding quality
of composites:
- Non-destructive
evaluation (NDE)
- Assists in contaminant
identification (i.e. silicones, fingerprints...)
- Portable and hand
held
- Cover large areas
quickly
- Supports decisions
to manufacture, rework, or scrap expensive composites
A video presentation is available (click
here, the
presentation opens in a separate window with sound)
that describes BAQuSTM
and how it can be used.
This patent-pending technology uses full spectrum
reflected light to “fingerprint” contaminants on composite
surfaces and is sensitive enough to detect contaminants
that may affect adhesion. The result is a useful technique
with applications for commercial as well as military
composites.

Anti Tamper Coating for Electronic Devices
Anti Tamper Coatings provide protection from hostile attempts to acquire
identity of electronic components from reverse engineering at the die,
package and board level.
- Physical obscuration of the electrical
device.
- Prevents device identification through
hostile attacks via reverse engineering.
- Resistant to reverse engineering,
including X-Ray and Chemical approaches.
- Useful at the die, package and board
level.
- Anti tamper protection coatings for
electronic devices at the chip, package and board levels.
- Patent Pending

High Performance Thermal Protection Coating
This technology can be used for high temperature protection in extreme
environments. It performs in repeat thermal cycles up to 1400°C.
- Inorganic composition and thermally
stable
- Multiple cycles from room temperature to
1400°C
- Low temperature processing
- Easy to apply and remove
- Non toxic
- Patent pending
