Senior Mechanical Engineer
Working at Space Micro:
SpaceMicro is a fast-paced product company that is looking for candidates who thrive in an exciting and dynamic environment. Our primary work is the design and production of spacecraft avionics system for customers ranging from commercial firms to the US Military, NASA, and Universities.
This is a fast-paced small company and is not like a large aerospace firm. You will have excellent visibility in the company and get to interact with all levels of management and engineering.
Potential employees should have a mix of technical expertise and experience, and also be strongly motivated to achieve technical success on complex engineering projects. Equally as important at Space Micro is that we are looking for self-starting and self-directed candidates who can take a project or assignment and truly "own" it; they can direct themselves day-to-day and keep moving towards to a solution and/or product. The ability to multitask helps significantly since most employees will have a primary project assignment but also be asked to consult on and review the work done on other projects at the company.
We look for people that are not only qualified as mentioned here, but who also fit within our culture. Most of the people here love the idea of working on electronics that are going into space. This is a big part of what drives us and we look for this enthusiasm in all of our key personnel. We work hard, but most of us really enjoy what we do.
