Space Micro Sponsors 2019 CubeSat Space Processor Competition
San Diego, CA – March 11, 2019
Space Micro is sponsoring a student competition at the Small Satellite Conference in Logan, Utah in August 2019.
Students from any academic institution may apply to develop the most innovative application of Space Micro’s CubeSat Space Processor (CSP) for a new space mission. Entries will be judged on mission originality, quality, and the best application of the processor’s capabilities. Student teams will compete for recognition; the winning team will also receive a CSP Engineering Model kit donated by Space Micro.
The CSP is the world’s highest performance, radiation-hardened, and reliable single board computer in the CubeSat form factor. It is in full production at Space Micro with design-ins and deliveries to over 30 space programs, as well as existing and rapidly growing space flight heritage.
“Universities originally led the CubeSat revolution,” said Space Micro’s CEO, David J. Strobel. “Small satellite projects generate a fantastic pipeline of qualified and motivated engineers for the growing space industry.”
Students may contact Ms. Janice Franklin at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and for an application. Letters of intent to participate are due April 1, 2019. Applications are due May 11, 2019.
