Space Micro Sponsors CubeSat Space Processor Student Competition

San Diego, CA – May 16, 2018

Space Micro Inc. is sponsoring a student competition at the 32nd Small Satellite Conference in Logan, Utah in August 2018. Student teams will compete for recognition and the winner will receive a CubeSat Space Processor (CSP) Engineering Model kit donated by Space Micro Inc.

The CSP is a high performance, radiation-hardened, and reliable single board computer in a CubeSat form factor. It is in full production at Space Micro with design-ins and deliveries to over 20 space programs, and has existing space-flight heritage. The competition is open to students from any academic institution to submit designs for the most innovative application of Space Micro’s CSP on a new space mission.

“Universities are leading the CubeSat revolution and are also generating a fantastic pipeline of qualified and motivated engineers for the growing space industry,” said Space Micro CEO David J. Strobel.

The winning team will be announced at the Small Satellite Conference in early August.
