Space Micro, Inc. Partnership for Space Microwave Modules
SAN DIEGO, CA - July 18, 2003 - Space Micro Inc. today announces a partnership agreement with Rock Systems LLC for the development and marketing of microwave modules for the military and space industry. This agreement enables Space Micro to manufacture and market high frequency electronics, which includes new and heritage designs from Rock Systems.
"Satellite systems have an increasing demand for improved communication bandwidth, lower power and small size, which drives the need for RF and microwave electronics with dense packaging technology", said David Czajkowski, COO for Space Micro. "We believe the addition of microwave products compliments our existing capabilities of radiation hardened, low power and highly integrated electronics for the international space community."

The initial product offered is a state-of-the-art space qualified integrated Linear Phase Modulator/ Solid State Power Amplifier (LPM-SSPA) operating at 2.3 GHz. It is provided in a hermetically sealed, small footprint module with advanced packaging technology. The LPM-SSPA is radiation hardened to either 20 or 100 krad (Si) and has successful flight history through an Air Force mission.
