Space Micro acquires Encryption
technology
CyberDog Security Division formed.
SAN DIEGO, CA - November 22, 2004 - Space Micro Inc. today announced an agreement to acquire the assets of CyberDog Communications Inc. CyberDog is an emerging security firm with demonstrated intellectual property and alpha products using its patent pending encryption technology, termed "Object Level Firewalls™". Object Level Firewall technology and early stage products offer new capabilities for protection of software and data for critical network applications, including servers, personal computing platforms, Linux clusters and embedded computers. The companies have recently partnered on U.S. Department of Defense sponsored research and development. "We are pleased to add this key technology to our portfolio. It is an excellent extension of our reconfigurable computing and microelectronics product lines", said David J. Strobel, Space Micro"s CEO. The company will form a new Security division to develop and market these technologies into both military and commercial application. David R. Czajkowski, COO of Space Micro, will lead this division.
