Space Micro Inc. Receives Patent for its Bond Assurance Quality System (BAQus™)
The Advanced Materials Division of Space Micro is receiving a patent today for BAQus™. This system is a Non-Contact Composite Bonding Inspection System, and is used to detect contaminants on composite bonding surfaces prior to attachment.
Space Micro first developed this system back in 2006 with SBIR Funding. This Patent is a great addition to Space Micro’s ever growing portfolio. When asked about receiving this patent Carl Edwards - Division Manager, Advanced Materials Division said “This system complements our material solutions portfolio for supporting customer requirements"

Space Micro’s Advanced Materials Division specializes in high temperature coatings for space and military applications, as well as non-destructive evaluation of metal and composite structures such as rockets and marine vessels.
