Atmospheric Neutron Testing
Services - An example of specialized testing by Space Micro
Space Micro offers a unique test service for the radiation tolerance of microelectronics to naturally occurring atmospheric neutrons. As IC feature sizes and voltages have been reduced, the sensitivity of COTS parts has dramatically increased. This causes serious issues for electronics operating at high altitudes e.g. (Aircraft, missiles, and UAVs/HAAs). We have demonstrated both 12,000 test station and a high altitude balloon test platform to obtain this radiation data.
