Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Description:

Performs Receiving, In-Process, Source, and Final Inspection of PCBs, PCBAs, mechanical slices/PCBAs, Box assemblies, and cables.

• Support Quality Assurance department generating and maintaining process improvements
• Train and certify other employees for IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620
• Work with manufacturing to resolve quality issues
• Participate in the training of personnel
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, purchasing, production control, operations, and inspection
• Administers company GIDEP system
• Supports the Quality Manager in supply chain management, including source inspections, supplier surveys, supplier corrective actions, and administering the Space Micro supplier database
• Perform and resolve corrective and/or preventive action analysis and/or process using 5 WHY Analysis, Fishbone Diagram and 8D methods
• Prepare work instruction and/or procedures to support quality and manufacturing operations
• Help with preparing EIDP
• Support non-conforming material and internal Audit
• Support the company calibration system
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• B.S. in Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Microsoft Office skills
