Space Micro Expands Manufacturing and Test Capability for Satellite Constellations

San Diego, CA – March 8, 2018

Space Micro has recently invested in and installed additional capital equipment to expand our manufacturing capacity.

This new environmental test equipment enables support of higher volume satellite constellation programs. It includes additional thermal vacuum, vibration testing, portable clean rooms, curing ovens, and burn in/life testing capability and capacity.

In 2017, the company again expanded its incoming inspection, manufacturing, and quality assurance floor space area in its San Diego facility by another 25% to meet demand for its affordable, radiation hard, space electronics subsystem products.

“Space Micro is committed to providing affordable, high-quality, complex space and missile electronics products, so it is vital to our customers’ future success that we make intelligent capital investments,” said CEO David J. Strobel. “Our manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams are constantly evaluating the level of investment required to meet our customers' reliability and production rate requirements.”
